University of the West Indies Unveils Video Website

University of the West Indies recently unveiled a new video website!. Educational institutions worldwide have been moving into the multimedia space as they ramp up their online presence. The addition of this new feature brings the University of the West Indies into the growing list of tertiary institutions worldwide that have recently upgraded their websites with new social media and multimedia features.

Now, with UWI-TV up and running, teachers and students and general users can view live video or content streamed from this website.

Live Steaming

For live events, viewers will be able to watch official campus events. These events include graduation ceremonies as well as one-off events such as open lectures put on by the various faculties and student groupings.

On-demand

University faculty departments will be able to upload video content for public viewing. In addition, visitors will be able to view these videos on demand. Videos are categorized for easy access.

Other features being planned are as follows;
