Cash Plus Jamaica

Reliable sources tell Caribbean Business Report that alternative investment scheme Cash Plus, headed by Carlos Hill has at least US$15 million in unclaimed deposits that could be used to pay lenders.

For several hours Thursday morning, the police conducted raids at the home of Cash Plus Head Carlos Hill as well as other residential and commercial properties owned by some of his associates.

Attorney representing Cash Plus, Bert Samuels, said the company is preparing to begin legal action as early as Tuesday. This is according to Radio Jamaica

Carlos Hill stated that the Cash Plus Group of companies is to be strategically re-classified. It also asked customers to roll over their monthly considerations for the next three months in order to help Cash Plus facilitate the re-classification process

Cash Plus Jamaica has been given a December 20 date to reveals its financials to the Jamaican government financial regulator (FSC). This means it will have to show financial statements to prove how the funds it collect has been used.
