SummerJam Festival is Germany's biggest Reggae festival. Since 1986 the festival takes place in the beginning of July of each year, right in the beginning of the "hottest" part of the German summer. In these years all the top-acts of the international Reggae scene have been playing at this huge happening. In the early years the Summer Jam Festival took place at the open-air-stage on top of the incredible Loreley-Rock. In 1994 and 1995 Contour -as the organising promotion agency- had to move the venue to the former US-Army airbase in Wildenrath before they found the current place at the Fühlinger See close to the city of Köln (Cologne).
